Several months ago, I got an email from a woman who reads the blog saying that my life looked so calm and quiet. She asked me how I made that happen with three boys at home. I emailed back with a laugh and the words..."I don't, but once in awhile it happens. And when it does, it's like magic."
Here was this morning's magic.
-- eating breakfast as the sun comes up, alone, quiet, planning our day.
-- enjoying the daffodils we picked yesterday before the freeze, poor little things didn't know winter wasn't quite done with its work
-- and a bit of time in the sewing room to work on a purl rabbit for a sweet little girl who turns two today.
Hope you get a bit of magic in your weekend too.
P.S. Thanks for all the ideas for compantion pieces for the shoes in the post below. I have a shopping list and am not affraid to use it. Autumn, if you will send me your address, I'll pop a sweet little apron in the post for you.
P.S.S. Right after I posted this...all h-e-double-hockey sticks broke out around here. Juice spilled by a two year old trying to "help", mud strung from one end of the house to the other by the dog, and every hot wheels car we own being sailed down the stairs at the cat (which sends me into nasty mama mode). It was nice while it lasted.
